An immersive experience by Michel Reilhac
In development
Synopsis
In the unusual setting of the Chapel of Sound in China, we meet the "Transformed", real people who radically modify their bodies, for a gathering in tribute to Claude Cahun, a pioneer of body art in the mid-20th century. Arriving without any physical modifications ourselves, we will leave profoundly transformed, having explored the identity issues around a possible aesthetic for the future.
Intentions
An immersive experience about people who, throughout the world today, are taking the provocative art of body modification to new levels. They are returning to the ancestral practices of traditional tribes. They question the foundations of our body identity and the relativity of aesthetic criteria in all human societies.
